I got started with my first beagle Harley in December of 2001. He was purchased as a pet, but of course we all wonder, is my beagle show quality? I researched for a local breeder and found my mentors, Janet and Tim Aamodt of the River Oaks Beagles. Janet and Tim gave me the foundation and skills I needed to learn how to show dogs and also gave me my first show beagle, River Oaks A Song To Remember, “Bibby”. Harley became a terrific show dog for my nieces who continued to show him in Junior Showmanship. Julie Wright of Just-Wright Beagles was kind enough to trust me with her “pick of the litter”, and through her support and guidance, I obtained my foundation beagle, Just-Wright She’s All That, “Laney”.
